If you’re in the middle of planning your own Aussie Road Trip or Big Lap of Australia, you’ll no doubt be following loads of travelling blogs with a fine-toothed comb. We certainly did before we hit the road! There are some fantastic Australian Travel Blogs who are sharing their adventures, hints, tips and experiences as they go. You’ll find caravan blogs, camper blogs, motorhome blogs, tent blogs and even truck blogs.

There are so many unknowns and questions as you plan your own trip, that you end up becoming quite like a sponge, soaking up every little tidbit of information that you can find.

I’ve compiled a list (in no particular order) of some top Australia Travel Blogs (including lots of families) to help inspire and get you ready for your own travels! Check them out and don’t forget to give them all a ‘follow.’

Please note that most people’s travel plans are rather fluid this year, given the world wide events that are happening.

We are a family of four, originally from Western Sydney. Adam, Mia and our two children Jett (13) & Skye (10).

Travelling Set-up
We are touring Australia in a pre-loved 2011 Coromal Magnum Transforma XC450 Off-Road Caravan. It is a similar concept to the Jayco Expanda and a Windsor Rapid. The caravan had a makeover before we left, including new linen curtains and new dining seat upholstery. During 2021, we will be giving the caravan some fresh lovin’ after living in it for 2.5 years full-time.

Our towing vehicle is a 2014 Volkswagen Amarok that we have owned since new. The Amarok hasn’t missed out on the TLC, with a repaint in Raptor Coating. It’s a tough, scratch-resistant paint – perfect for how we live and play with our 4×4!

2021 Travel Plans
We plan to spend 2021 locally in Victoria so that we can see all of the region properly and not have to worry about being stuck on the other side of potential border closures. We’ve got immediate plans to explore Victoria’s High Country, then a Great Ocean Road trip. Spending some more time on the Murray River is also on the cards.

Our 2021 Travel Plans
We are hitting the Western Australian coastline in 2021, starting from the Kimberley and working our way down and around. There’s no time frame for this adventure, so we’ll just see where the time takes us! We want to Free Camp as much as possible and check out some of Australia’s best coastline in the west by exploring the tourist spots as well as other areas that are a little more untouched.

Travelling Set-up
We first set out in an older Mitsubishi Pajero and an imported US Jayco Caravan. We didn’t import the Jayco, we bought the car and caravan second hand. We often got comments about the main door being on the ‘wrong side,’ however it was a great van! Mid lap we did a few upgrades to it, converting the double bunk into a triple and giving it a new paint job. We’ve now swapped to a Jayco Swan so that we can get to more places than we could with the full van.

What are our travel plans for 2021?
Our plan was to explore the Western Australian coast this year, but at this stage we’ll be doing more around South Australia and Victoria.
