Travel Advisory Map | IDPH

For each state or country, the number of new cases of COVID-19 reported daily is averaged across the past 7 days. The average daily cases are then divided by the population and multiplied by 100,000 to find the average daily case rate per 100,000.

Locations that have over 100 cases per 100,000 are designated as “Level 4”. Any location that has an average daily case rate greater than 100 per 100,000 are designated as red in the map. Locations that have 100 cases per 100,000 or less than but have over 50 cases per 100,000 are designated as “Level 3”. Any location that has an average daily case rate less than or equal to 100 per 100,000 but greater than 50 per 100,000 are designated as orange in the map. Locations that have 50 cases per 100,000 or less than but have 5 or more cases per 100,000 are designated as “Level 2”. Any location that has an average daily case rate less than or equal to 50 per 100,000 but 5 or greater per 100,000 are designated as purple in the map. Locations that have less than 5 cases per 100,000 are designated as “Level 1”. Any location that has an average daily case rate less than 5 per 100,000 are designated as blue in the map. In the “Advanced View”, a dark red will indicate a very high average daily case rate, a dark orange will indicate a higher average daily case rate, a purple will indicate a high average case rate, while a blue will indicate a low average daily case rate.
